Mangalore, Oct 02, 2014:  Addressing media ,  Karnataka Janajagruthi Vedike will conduct 57 workshops in 23 districts of the state and will felicitate de-addicts on October 2, said forum Director Vivek V Pais.  He said that the forum aims to provide information on de-addiction of alcohol to 10 lakh people in the awareness drive. About 220 office-bearers, 8,100 volunteers, 5,500 project staff will participate.

The meeting of the officebearers of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts will be held at Kinyamma yane Gunavathiyamma Sabhabhavana in Guruvayanakere in Belthangadi on October 4.  Minister U T Khader will inaugurate the programme. MP Nalin Kumar Kateel will launch the website. Dharmadhikari Dr DVeerendra Heggade will preside over the function. MLA Vasath Bangera will distribute certificates to de-addicts.

Rathnatraya Jain Basadi Administrator Rajavarma Ballal will release a book ‘Madyapana mattu cirrhosis,’ written by Dr Subraya Nayak. Dr Srinivas Bhat and Prof Shankar will be felicitated on the occasion. A vehicle jatha will be taken from Police ground, Belthangadi, prior to the stage programme.
