Artists to creatively protest against adverse effects of MSEZ

Mangalore, June 18: Forty environmentalist artists from Mangalore plan to paint pictures based on the theme of the adverse effects of the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in DK on June 19, Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Sandesha Foundation.

The artists plan to create awareness among the general public by painting on a 40-metre long canvas titled “Kuncha Kahale - Cry of the Canvas” as part of the signature and art camp campaign against the reckless industrial activities of the Mangalore Special Economic Zone (MSEZ) and its adverse effects on people.

Recently, a huge chuck of fertile agricultural land has been lost to the Mangalore Special Economic Zone (MSEZ). The artists have proved themselves to be responsible citizens by stepping forward to protest in their creative way and to draw the public’s attention to this terrifying
