Aadhaar Adalat launched in Udupi

Udupi, Dec 27, 2017: Udupi DC Priyanka Mary Francis on  Dec 26, Tuesday inaugurated the Aadhaar Adalat at the District Offices Complex Hall Udupi.

The adalat organised by the district administration and e-governance Centre, Bengaluru, is being held for five days from December 26 to 30.

Ms. Francis said that the adalat provided people with an opportunity to enrol for Aadhaar number if they had not already enrolled, and also to make any amendments in the details already furnished for the Aadhaar card previously.  People should take advantage of this opportunity, she said.

She said that the electoral rolls had been published for all the booths in all the five Assembly constituencies in Udupi district.  The voters should check if their names were there in the rolls.  They could get their names enrolled by December 29.

The administration would also be felicitating millennial voters in January next. These voters would turn 18 and get their right to vote, DC  Francis said.

Additional Deputy Commissioner G. Anuradha was also present.
