AIITA convenes introductory meeting at Badriya College

Mangalore, June 20:  The All India Ideal Teachers’ Association (AIITA) convened an introductory meeting at Badriya College on June 20, Sunday in a bid to strengthen the group at the ground level. Although the association, which was born in Dec 1992, was introduced in Mangalore in 1996, it failed to become popular. Sources reveal that the association barely has 200 members in the state. 


More than 50 Muslim school teachers from different parts of DK participated in the association’s second introductory meet and expressed their willingness to participate in AIITA activities. Principal of Badriya Pre-University College N. Ismaeel inaugurated the meeting and said that the ideal association has great potential for growth. 


Director of Al-Furqan Arabic Education Institution Mohammed Kunhi spoke on the attributes of an ideal teacher and urged all teachers to imbibe the values of Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) because he is the best teacher in the entire history of mankind. Speaking about the powers of a teacher, Kunhi said that ideal teachers devote their lives to the accomplishment of social responsibilities as per the teachings of Prophet Muhammed (pbuh). Ideal teachers do not confine themselves to the school because he has duties toward the entire society, he added. 


Amanullah Khan Tarikere delivered the introductory address in which he provided comprehensive information regarding the objectives, responsibilities, and functions of AIITA and the responsibilities of individual members of AIITA. 


State President of AIITA Muhammed Nizamuddeen presided over the programme. Rahmathullah made the welcome speech. Mubeen Ullal compered the programme. Abdussalam U. spoke about a teacher’s responsibilities toward society.
