ACT organizes membership drive

Mangalore, Jan 21: The Animal Care Trust (ACT) will organize a membership drive at the conference hall of SDM (BBM) College on Jan 26, Tuesday, at 4 p.m.

Suma Ramesh, a member of ACT, spoke to press people during a press conference organized on Jan 21. She said that animal lovers can take this opportunity to enroll themselves as members. ACT will also organize a vaccination camp for pet dogs at Padil, Shaktinagar, and Attavar on Feb 7, 14, and 21, respectively.

ACT will launch its new beta website, www.actmangalore.org, which gives all the required details about ACT, she said. As part of a fund-raising programme, ACT will sell calendars for Rs 100 each, she informed.

She also said that membership fees for students and for adults is Rs 100 and Rs 250, respectively. Those who wish to be members need to provide 2 passport sized photographs.

Dr. Shivaram Karikal, Giridhar Kamath, and Ganesh S Pai were present during the press conference.
