100 grams gold and Rs 19,000 Stolen from a Flat at Morgansgate

Mangalore, April 12: Unidentified persons are said to have entered a flat located in an apartment complex near Morgans Gate in the city on April 12 and made off with about 100 grams gold and Rs 19000 in cash.
 
The incident occurred in II floor of Ramaprasad Apartmens near Morgans gate. It is believed that the thieves have gathered all information about the flat and owner, before entering the flat. The flat belongs to Ramakrishna Salian, who works in gulf country. His wife Chitralekha and her son, who resides in the flat presently, were out of station for one day. They had gone to attend a puja function held at their relative’s house. When they returned from function, today morning, it came to know that, their flat has been burgled. The thieves have gained entry into the flat by breaking open its rear door. About 100 grams of gold ornaments and Rs 19,000 in cash were found to be missing.
 
A case under Burglary has been registered in Pandeshwar Poilice station. Fingerprint experts and policemen have visited the spot for further investigation.
