1 dead, 2 injured in private bus – motorbike collision

Mangalore, April 25, 2012: A private bus going at top speed dashed into a motorbike killing its rider and severely injuring two pillion riders at a petro bunk near Venoor, Belthangady at around 10:30 p.m. on April 25 Wednesday.

The deceased is Ananda (28) of Goliyangady. He was riding his Bajaj M80 with two friends Rajesh and Shekhara of Muddadi.

Reportedly, the driver of the VRL luxury bus that caused the accident was driving rashly.

Ananda, who sustained severe head and chest injuries, died on the way to the hospital. Rajesh and Shekara are taking treatment at a private hospital. They had decided to go home with Ananda as no bus was available that late into the night. 

The Venoor police have registered a case.
