’Mangaluru Sangeethotsava’ a musical treat - Nov 26-29

Mangaluru, Nov 24, 2015: The four-day Mangaluru Sangeethotsava, will begin from November 26. Sangeetha Parishath and Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan will host the utsav at University College, Hampankatta.

There will be carnatic vocal, flute and violin concerts. Except on the last day, concerts will begin at 4 p.m.

The utsav will begin with a vocal concert by Divyashree of Manipal, followed by another vocal concert by S. Shankar of Bengaluru. He will be accompanied on the violin by B. Vittala Rangan of Bengaluru and on the mridangam by V. Praveen of Chennai. There will be two vocal concerts by Shradha Kote of Belthangady and Usha H. of Manipal on November 27. Flautist Rakesh Dutt of Bengaluru will perform on November 28, followed by by carnatic vocal by Sreevatsan J. Menon of Thripunithura on the same day. Noted singer S. Soumya of Chennai will perform on the last day.
