‘Ramothsav’ to be held on March 23-25

RAMA devMangalore, March 22: The Vishwa Hindu Parishath, Bhajarangdal and Sri Ramothsav committee will jointly conduct ‘Ramothsav’ at Nehru Ground, Mangalore between March 23 and March 25.


An altar resembling gopura of Thirupathi temple will be made to worship god Ram on the occasion. God Ram will be adored by a team led by Vedamurthy Giridhar Bhat.


God Rama prathishta programme will start on March 23 at 9.30 am followed by other traditional rituals. A stage programme will be arranged at 6 pm on the same day, in which Sri Gurudevananda swamiji, Seer of Sri Gurudeva Datta Samstana, Odiyur will bless the gathering. Krishna J Palemar, District-in-charge minister, Nalin Kumar Kateel, MP, Mangalore Loka Sabha, Rajni Dugganna, Mayor, Mangalore will be the guests. Sri Komkodi Padmanbha will preside over the function.


Second day celebration will start with Sri Seetharam Kalyanothsav. Vidwan Ganesh Rao M V will lead the programme. A religious function at 6.00 pm will be organised. Sri Ramananda Swamiji, seer of Kolya temple will bless.  Yogish Bhat, MLA, Mangalore will be the president. The other guests of function are N Yogish Bhat, MLA Mangalore, Capt. Ganesh Karnik, MLC, Rajendra Kumar, Deputy Mayor Mangalore, Sadananda Shetty, president, Sri Devi Education trust, Kishor D Shetty, business man, Mangalore.

   
On the third day, Sri Rajashekharananda Swamiji of Vajradeh Temple blesses the gathering and P Dayanada Pai will preiside over the function. Suresh B Shetty, business man, Ballary, B Nagaraj Shetty, president, Coastal Development Authority and Palke Dhanajay Achar, Canara Jewelers are the guests.
