‘Government machinery misused for state events’

Jan 06 2018: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Udupi district unit president Mattar Ratnakar Hegde, said on Jan 6,  Friday that government money was being misused for the various inauguration programmes or ‘Sadhana Samaveshas’ of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in the district. Addressing media  Hegde said that the entire administrative machinery was being misused for what were basically Congress party programmes, which were being portrayed as government functions.

He said the Udupi DC had given orders to all officers to be present at these events.  Hegde warned that in these inauguration programmes, CM  Siddaramaiah should stick only to speaking about government’s polices and matters and party propaganda was not right.
