Mangalore, July 27: Air India paid its respects to the victims of the Mangalore plane crash of May 22 at TMA Pai Convention Hall on July 27, Thursday. Aravind Jadhav, the chief managing director of AI, said that constructing a memorial at the site of the plane crash and paying their respects to the souls of the departed was the least that the national carrier could do.








Secretary of Civil Aviation Madhav Nambiar said that several rescue workers have worked hard without making any discrimination. He promised the families of the deceased full support with regard to rehabilitation and compensation.
Religious leaders such as B. K. Illias from the Muslim community, Prof. M. B. Puranik from the Hindu community, Jnanesh Singh from the Sikh community, Nirmal Kumar from the Jain community, and Fr. Dennis Rasquinha from the Christian community prayed for the souls of the departed.
