It’s almost a clean sweep for the Congress in the Assembly elections in Dakshina Kannada. The Congress emerged victorious in seven constituencies while the BJP had to be satisfied with a win only in Sullia constituency.
The Bharatiya Janatha Party which was hitherto claiming that there was a pro-BJP wave in the undivided Dakshina Kannada district, has to be satisfied with wins in just two constituencies- Sullia in Dakshina Kannada and Karkala in Udupi district.
