ZP CEO pays surprise visit to PHCs in Dengue affected Guttigar, Panja

Sullia, June 12, 2013 : Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Dr KN Vijayaprakash paid a surprise visit to the Primary Health Centres of Panja and Guttigar on June 11, Tuesday to meet the patients and also review the measures taken by the Health Department in the wake of fast spreading Dengue fever in Guttigar and Panja areas of Sullia taluk.

The ZP CEO learnt from the patients regarding the treatment offered to them at the primary health centres. He also spoke to the Medical Officer and learnt of the progress registered in the door-to-door campaign to create awareness among the masses.

Dr Vijayaprakash also verified the particulars given by the health authorities by telephoning some of the houses of the area, as per the information mentioned in the record books.

He directed the medical officers and staff to strictly enforce the guidelines of the govenment and prevent the spread of the disease.

District Health Officer Dr Srirangappa, Dr Arun, TP Executive Officer Malleswamy, Sullia Taluk Health Officer Dr Subrahmanya and others were present.
