Vitla, Mar 06, 2018: A passenger died after he got thrown out of a bus onto the road near Nirkaje. The passenger was standing at the back door of the bus when the incident took place. He failed to respond to the given treatment and succumbed to his injuries.
The decease has been identified as Umesh (18), a resident of Golikatte near Parladka. He was returning back from Bangaradka after attending a wedding and was standing at the foot board of the bus. At a turning near Nirkaje, he got thrown out of the bus and onto the road sustaining grievous injuries to his head.
He was taken to a private hospital in Puttur from where he was shifted to a hospital in Mangaluru for further treatment. Vitla police has registered a case of rash and negligent driving against the bus driver Rajesh.
