Kundapur, April 24, 2017 : A youth who was all set to tie the nuptial knot on April 28 has lost his life in a hit and run accident on the National Highway 66 near Shalebagilu in Uppunda on April 23, Sunday.
The deceased is Ganesh (31) a resident of Bhatkal. His mother who was riding pillion in the bike of Ganesh luckily escaped with minor injuries. The two were on way towards Padukone, the native place of Ganesh when a speeding car rammed against the bike.
Though a seriously injured Ganesh was first treated in Kundapur and then rushed towards Manipal, he breathed his last enroute.
The car which caused the accident had fled the scene soon after.
Byndoor Police are investigating the case.
