Youth dies, 2 others critical in gang attack at Kanyana

Bantwal, Aug 31, 2015 : A youth was killed and two others critically injured in a gang attack at Kanyana market near Vittal on August 30, Sunday.

The deceased is Asif (24) of Bayikatte, while Riyaz (24) and Hakeem (20) were injured. It is said the trio was chased by the gang which intended to kill all the three even as several people were around.

Youth dies, 2 others critical in gang attack at Kanyana The incident occurred when Asif and his friends were on way home to Paivalike after attending a wedding at Kanyana.

However the car bound assailants rammed their vehicle against the motor bike which the trio were riding knocking down the three.

Two other friends of Asif who were in another bike, however managed to escape the attackers.

Locals suspect the involvement of Nappate Rafique gang behind the incident. It is said that Rafique gang and Baliga Aziz gang were long time rivals and Aziz was killed two years ago.

Senior police officials including SP Dr Sharanappa, ASP Rahul Kumar, Circle Inspector Belliappa and others visited the spot.

Th criminals are attacked a by criminals. They are helping the police by doing their job.

The locals never make it an issue because the assailants were from same community. if the attackers were from another community it would have been a time for a gossip and a good time pass for the jobless people.
