Youth behind bars for sexually exploiting, ditching girl friend

Kundapur, Dec 23, 2013: Kundapur police have arrested a youth named Vighnesh hailing from Moodubage in Amparu on the charges of sexually exploiting his girl friend after promising to marry her and then finally ditching her.

Vighnesh 1 It is learnt, he is an autorickshaw driver by profession. Locals however say it was his habit to befriend girls, have physical relationship with them and finally bid them good bye.

His arrest followed a complaint lodged by a young woman at the Kundapur police station on December 13 against him. He was arrested at Bangalore. According to the woman who worked as a sales girl in a shop in Kundapur, the two were in touch since two years after she came into contact with Vighnesh at a marriage ceremony.

It is learnt, the two had visited various places as the girl had completely believed Vighnesh who promised to marry him and finally refused to tie the knot to her. She has now alleged that he had raped her,

The accused has been remanded to judicial custody for 15 days and shifted to the Udupi District Prison.
