Youth assaulted by Talapady toll booth staff

Mangaluru, April 14, 2017 : A youth named Abdul Hameed Sarafat (25), a resident of Kandak here was allegedly attacked by the toll gate staff at Talapady for questioning the latter’s action of assaulting an elderly man on April 13, Thursday.

Abdul Hameed is now undergoing treatment in a hospital. The incident took place when he was on way to Kasargod from Mangaluru in his car. At around 2.30 pm he had reached the toll gate when he found an old man being abused and attacked by a person said to be a driver. When Abdul Hameed objected he was reportedly surrounded by around 20 toll gate staff and assaulted. He was later admitted to hospital by an unidentified person.

Abdul in his complaint has said that he was sure that all the assaulters were toll gate staff as they were wearing badges.

Police are inspecting CCTV footages to verify the claims. Investigations are underway.

These days so many incidents have taken place ,sometimes the people provoke by creating such situations . Stringent action ha to be taken against the staff
