Mangalore, Feb 16, 2014: Dr NS Malik, former deputy commandant of Indian Army has informed that the Youth for Nation has been spreading awareness and sensitizing the public on national issues particularly those regarding to national security.
Speaking on ‘National Security Issues’ at a programme organised by Youth For Nation here on February 15, Friday, he said Pakistan sponsored terrorism was destroying the nation’s economy. Terrorism and Naxalism are used by Pakistan and China to target India, he alleged.
He said several issues relating to china are still not highlighted at the national level. Stressing the need for the nation to strengthen its military forces, Dr Malik said there was a need to manufacture weapons domestically, instead of importing them as it was a burden on the nation’s economy.
PP Hegde, advocate and National Chairman of Youth for Nation said seminars will be organised at different places across the nation to create awareness on issues of national importance. The programmes will be attended by former senior officers of Indian Defence Forces, he informed.
Lieutenant general P G Kamath, former commandant of Army War College, Brigadier Narayan Singh Malik, New Delhi, former officer of RAW and Prof G S Murthy, former nuclear scientist from Vijayawada were also present.
