Young music lovers organize Battle of the Bands at Panambur Beach

Mangalore, Mar 27: A youth group called “Titans” and a band of musicians from SDM College Mangalore called “The Shifting Scales” organized a food festival and a musical event called “Battle of the Bands” at Panambur Beach on March 26, Saturday.

Five bands from all over Karnataka participated in this event and played numbers from famous international bands such as Guns ‘n’ Roses, Green Day, Deep Purple, and others. The participating bands were “The Rusticated,” “Altered Perception,” “Minus 88,” “Different Disciplines,” and a band from Manipal.


A music group called Freeway 69 judged the event and also presented 10 songs of its own. Ultimately, “Different Disciplines” turned out to be the winner of the event.


Although the event was meant for the youth by the youth, a number of senior citizens were observed having the time of their lives. The event commenced at 6:00 p.m. and ended at 10:00 p.m.


The event begins today at 10:00 in the morning, featuring a “War of the DJs” and an exhibition of modified vehicles by “Blazing Rims,” an online group.
