Earlier Prince Isaac, the advocate for the petitioner KN Somashekhar filed an affidavit before the Bench stating that the   Karnataka Irrigation Corporation and the contactors of the project had violated the earlier directive issued on August 29 by felling more number of trees than the number of trees mentioned in the information submitted to the Court and that they  had also not planted   ten saplings for every one tree felled.

Though the Tribunal was supposed to give its final verdict on Wednesday, the Public Prosecutor who was busy with the Cauvery issue sought more time for putting forth his arguments. However the advocate for Somashekhar filed objection to this stating a deliberate delay was being caused.

The Green Bench stated that objections if any should be filed within a week. The final round of hearing has been put off to November 7 and 8. Even another hearing with regard to the petition filed by former Mangaluru Deputy Mayor has been put off to November 7 and 8.
