Yet another attack at Ullal: Sec 144 Imposed

Mangaluru, April 27, 2016:Yet another incident of attack by miscreants which is third incident in a span of more than 24 hours. In a recent case a fruit vendor was attacked with swords Kallapu Patla by a group of five which led law and order situation in Ullal deteriorated further on Tuesday April 26 .

According to the police Safwan ( 22), Saleem (22) and Nizam (22) who work with a catering contractor where on their home when they were attacked near Thokottu Junction. Five miscreants who came in two motorcycles allegedly waylaid the youth and attacked them with weapons.

 

Safwan who was seriously injured been hospitalized while others are treated in local hospitals. Early on Monday Ibrahim (27) was allegedly stabbed by five miscreants when he was on his way to Mangaluru Bunder. The stabbing incidents are viewed as retaliation to the recent murder of Fisherman Raju Kotian.

In order to bring law and situation control, Section 144 has been imposed in the limits of Ullal police from 6 pm on Tuesday until 6 am on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, reacting to the developments, Ullal MLA and health minister U T Khader urged the public to maintain peace and promised strict action against the troublemakers. Evil forces and anti-social elements are trying to disrupt peace in Ullal. Everyone should cooperate in identifying and tracing the culprits who are creating trouble. Do not pay heed to rumors. Build an atmosphere of harmony and brotherhood, he urged the public.

The Ullal Police have registered the cases.
