Bantwal, May 25,2017 : Seven persons  including a would-be-bride  lost their lives while  25 others sustained injuries in a tragic road accident  involving a  tempo and a bus   at Manki here during the wee hours of May 25, Thursday.

A wedding party was travelling in the tempo towards Dharmasthala from Dharwad, while the VRL bus was moving towards Belagavi from Mangaluru when the two vehicles collided head on.

 The driver of the bus Umesh (35),  would-be-bride, Divya Kordikar (23), tempo driver Nagappa Ganigar(46),  Nagesh Shet (47), Subrahmanya (15), Pooja Shet and Sudesh Shet (38) have lost their lives in the accident. Divya’s wedding was scheduled to be held on May 27.

The injured have been rushed to hospitals.

Manki police are investigating the case.

Accidents happens in fraction of second , but so sad the bride and her family members have met tragic end in the collision between vehicle .
