Mangaluru,Feb 9, 2020: Youth should come forward to strive for the country with devotion, said Vinay Hegde, Chancellor of Nitte University. He was addressing the delegates as Chief Guest on the second day of 39th State Conference of Akhila Bharatiya Vidhyarthi Parishad (ABVP) being held at Town Hall in the city on Saturday.
“Youth should work with the objective of contributing to the nation. We should learn to live in harmony with other while holding on to our faiths and beliefs. We should develop high degree of patriotism and be prepared to even lay down our lives if required for the good of the nation,” he advised the youth.
Speaking on the topic ‘Vardhaman Bharathi’, ABVP immediate past organizing secretary Sunil Ambekar said the new education policy is an optimistic development. He said in order to foster women’s safety, ABVP has already trained over 8 lakh women under the age of 20 years. In the coming days it will train all women under 20 years, he said.
ABVP state president Veeresh Balekayi, state secretary Prateek Mali, Bangalore city secretary Suraj Pandit and others were present in the dais.
