Mangalore, June 24, 2013: The Congress government which has come to power in the state has to bring changes to the changes brought about by the BJP government, said Union Petroleum Minister M Veerappa Moily.
He was addressing the newly appointed ministers, elected representatives and party men during his visit to the District Congress Office on June 24, Monday.
Continuing, Moily said the Congress leadership has gifted the district with four cabinet ministers and two Central ministers and urged them to work for the betterment of the society.
Continuing,he exhorted the elected representatives to work with integrity and honesty for the development of the district.
District Minister Ramanatha Rai who also spoke said the people have reposed faith in the Congress and has voted it to power. The BJP he said has failed in experimenting with its Sangh Parivar ideologies in the district.
Senior Congress leader Ibrahim Kodijal, Fisheries Minister Abhayachandra Jain, Mangalore North MLA Moidin Bava, KPCC Secretary Ivan D’Souza, Mamatha Gatti, Suresh Ballal, Vijaykumar Shetty and other Congress leaders were present on the occasion.
