Mangaluru, May 12, 2019: In a shocking case, chopped body parts of a woman were found inside a gunny bag near a petty shop close by the Kadri Park on May 12, Sunday.
Police have been identified the body and it is said to be of Shreemathi Shetty, resident of Amar Alva road. She is said to be around 35 to 40 years old.
A shop keeper in the area who saw the gunny bag in which the body parts were stuffed immediately informed the police. Shockingly the head of the body was found inside a helmet which was reportedly kept in the place by an unidentified bike rider. The other body parts were found near the Koti Chennaya circle and near the Nandigudda grave yard.
The suspicion is that the assailants must have dumped the remains last night. Police are examining the CCTV footages. A large crowd of curious people had gathered at the spot. Further investigations are in progress.
