Woman dies on spot after bus rams into bike in Kasargod

Kasargod: July 24, 2015: In a tragic accident, a woman lost her life, and two others were critically injured after a speeding bus rammed into a bike on the National highway near Kasargod bus stand on July 23.

 

Haneef (35) a resident of Anangoor Bediram and his son Haneef was injured in the accident while his wife Razia lost her life on the spot.

Soon after the accident the mob gathered near the accident spot and created a tense situation and damaged the bus.

The bus was on its way to Kasargod from Neerchal smashed into the bike in which the three were riding.  The impact of the accident was such that Razia fell onto the ground and came under the bus.

The bus which was over speed couldn’t come to halt though knocking down the victim under. The bus moved several meters ahead before it came to stop.

The locals rushed Haneef and Ameen to the nearby hospital. However, the bus driver and the conductor fled from the spot.

The witnesses alleged that, it was the bus driver’s negligence that caused the mishap. The local’s destroyed the peace soon after the accident and broke the glass of the bus in anger. They staged a massive protest and stopped all the buses that were passing from that area.

The protesters even attacked the media personals and destroyed their camera.
Soon the police arrived at the spot and got the situation under control.

It is said that Hanif was working in abroad and had come down to India for the vacation. His family shifted to a new house just few days ago.

The police have registered a case.
