Woman arrested with paramour for hiding husband’s bodyIt has been gathered that Renuka’s husband Karibasayya had  hanged himself following a quarrel     between  the couple over  Renuka’s illicit relationship with Sharanappa. When Renuka realised that her husband was dead, she  left the house to stay  at a relative’s house near the Udupi DC office along with Sharanappa.

At  around midnight they arrived at  Karibasayya’s house, kept the body in a sleeping position        alongside the Highway at Karavali bye-pass road. The two even placed liquor sachets near the body as if to project that he died of excessive drinking.

Meanwhile, a girl who had seen the couple quarrel informed the police and on examination  some  marks were found on the body Even Karibasayya’s  brother lodged a complaint suspecting that his brother had died an unnatural death.

Later, the police grilled Renuka when she revealed the truth that they had hidden the body. The couple has three children and the eldest daughter is married.

Both the accused have been produced before the court which has remanded them to judicial custody.
