Mangaluru, Aug 15, 2016: Reports bring to light an incident of theft, a woman has filed a complaint that the gold she had kept in the locker at Jammu and Kashmir Bank on KS Rao Road in the city has been stolen. The incident took place last month, but was reported late.
Haseena Karim had kept 103 sovereigns of gold in her locker, but a few days ago she had lost the locker key. She claimed that while one key was given to the customer, the other was with the bank.
As the key was not found, the bank staff during the last week of July, in Karim’s presence opened the locker only to find it empty.
She filed a complaint alleging that the bank staff was involved in the theft. Investigations are on.
