Will BJP seek resignation of its own leaders who face allegations?, questions Janardhana Poojary

Mangaluru, Nov 24, 2014 : Senior Congress leader and former union minister B Janardhana Poojary has slammed the BJP for its plans to hold a protest against the Congress government in the state at Belagavi on December 9.

Speaking to reporters here on November 24, Monday, Poojary  said the  BJP has no moral right to protest demanding the resignation of state ministers Dinesh Gundurao and others over land allegation charges at a time when several of its own leaders face various allegations.

If the BJP is genuinely concerned, then let it demand a resignation of  union minister DV Sadananda Gowda whose son is accused of cheating a woman. Many BJP leaders right from the Prime Minister and BJP National President  as well as former CM Yeddyurappa and his children are facing several allegations, Poojary said and questioned if the BJP would demand all these leaders to quit.

Poojari was also critical of senior BJP leader Dr Subrahmanian Swamy for his remarks saying he would send Congress President Sonia Gandhi to prison.

Expressing his strong opposition to the Kiss of Love Campaign, Poojary demanded that the government must arrest those involving in the campaign lest  anyone may indulge in kissing in the open in the future even in schools and government offices.

Refusing to comment on the Kambala ban by Supreme Court stating it would be tantamount to Contempt of Court, Poojary said there are options to amend the Bill in the parliament or to file an affidavit  in the Supreme Court through the Animal Husbandry Department.
