Mangaluru, June 21, 2016: A man from Davangere who was undergoing treatment at a hospital at Derlakatte and was recently discharged, has passed away on June 20, reportedly owing to mental agony as his wife and daughter have been missing since two months.
The deceased has been identified as Manjunath (40). His wife Manjula (35) and daughter Pallavi (14) who were with him at the Yenepoya hospital had left on April 27 stating that they were going to Manjula’s parental house. It is learnt, Manjula had even informed her father that about this, but they never arrived. The two were not to be traced after this. Manjunath who returned home upon discharge from hospital, was depressed and eventually breathed his last on Monday. It is learnt he had told his relatives that his wife and daughter should be present during his last rites.
The missing woman Manjula had a hotel in Davangere.
