Mangaluru, June 13, 2017 : The heavy rains have resulted in artificial floods on the ground floor of the West Gate Terminus  commercial complex opposite  Unity Hospital on Falnir Road  in the city.

On Monday as many as 13 shops including mobile shops, medical stores, juice stall, restaurant and other outlets located on the ground floor had to shut down due to water logging.

Locals said  the water from the side drains have overflowed and entered the shops.

City Mayor Kavitha Sanil has visited the  place to take stock of the situation.

This is because the MCC has not look upon the ,maintenance of proper drains in the city.
