Vittal, Dec 15, 2023: A fox which had accidentally fallen into an abandoned well at Thoranakatte near Punacha was rescued by the Forest Department officials.

It is suspected that the fox which had come in search of food, later fell into the well. On hearing its cries, villagers informed the Forest officials. Later under the supervision of forest personnel, a local resident Vaman Nayak managed to get into the well and get the fox out by placing it inside a gunny bag. The fox was released in the KCDC  plantation area.
