Vijaykumar Shetty takes a dig at DVS for defending Yettinahole Project

Mangalore,Mar 16, 2014 : Vijay Kumar Shetty, President of Karavali Jeevanadi Netravathi Samrakshana Samithi and former Suratkal MLA has strongly criticised former CM DV Sadananda Gowda for his recent statement defending the Yettinahole Project and also stating that Yettinahole and Netravathi Diversion Projects are two different projects.

vijayakumarshe. 1 Speaking to reporters here on March 15, Saturday, Shetty said it cannot be forgotten that the project was initiated when DV Sadananda Gowda was the chief minister.

Expressing the fears that the Yettinahole Project if implemented would lead to water scarcity in the district, he said the Samithi has already made an appeal to the High Court against the implementation of the project and added the High Court has accepted the appeal. He said the Samithi would not hesitate to take the case to the Supreme Court if the High Court fails to ensure justice.
