Vajpayee always had welfare of the nation in his mind : MP Nalin

Mangaluru, Dec 25, 2020:     Former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee was a great  administrator who  always thought about the welfare of the nation and  was revered by leaders of all parties, said MP and State BJP Chief Nalin Kumar Kateel.

He was presiding over the Atal Bihari Vajpayee birth anniversary  and Kisan Samman day celebration organised by the DK District unit of the BJP and the Raitha Morcha at the TV Raman Pai Hall in the city on December 25, Friday.

Stating that  Vajpayee had great concern for the welfare of the farming community, Nalin said it was  Vajpayee who introduced Kisan Card for the first time.

Even Prime  Minister Narendra Modi was treading the path laid by  Vajpayee, he said adding  it was  in line with Vajpayee’s vision that  the Kisan Samman Yojana of crediting Rs 6000 annually to farmer’s accounts directly   was launched.

DK District in-charge Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary, Legislators Rajesh Naik, Vedavyas Kamath, Sanjeeva Matandoor,Umanath Kotian, Pratap Sinh Nayak, Mayor Diwaker Pandeshwar, Fisheries Development Corporation Chairman Nitin Kumar, MUDA Chairman Ravishanker Mjar, APMC Chief Krishnaraj Hegde and others were present.

Arrangements were done on the occasion for the live telecast of the Prime Minister’s address to the farmers in a virtual meet today.
