Suvarna points  out that though a fisherman by profession, he was left disabled after he met with an accident  on November 8, 2014.  He reveals how a 17 yer old boy who was triple riding a bike caused the accident leaving him seriously injured.

Regarding his job demand, he says he has made several trips to Bengaluru despite his disability and had submitted memoranda to the Chief Minister during Janatha darshan.  Though the CM has given a written order to MESCOM to offer him a job, the Department was not ready to offer job on compassionate  grounds, he alleged.

He says he was denied a job on the grounds that he was married. The further adds that he has now embarked upon an indefinite strike as a last resort.
