Upcoming polls will be my last contest : Ramanatha Rai

Bantwal, Mar 02, 2023: Senior Congress leader  B Ramanatha Rai has said that the upcoming Assembly elections in the state will be the last election that he would be contesting.

 

He further said he would strive hard to achieve astounding development in his constituency if the electorate blesses  and elects him. He also said he had always walked the talk and has fulfilled his assurances.

Speaking to reporters at the Bantwal Block Congress Office, he claimed that he lost the  previous elections due to anti-propaganda. People have realised this now, he said and exuded confidence of his win in the upcoming election.

Rai also said he was indebted to the people of Bantwal who have elected him for six terms. He said the elections this time will be fought on the issues of unemployment and price rise.

He said a Ratha yatra on behalf of the Congress will commence from  the Polali Sri Rajarajeshwari Temple premises on March 10 and will travel the length and breadth of the constituency for 14 day when the public would be sensitized on the failure of the present government and the developmental works done during the previous Congress regime.
