Unidentified person found dead in Mangaluru-Coimbatore Inter-city Express

Mangaluru, Sep 26, 2015 :  An unidentified person was found dead inside the general compartment of the Mangaluru-Coimbatore Inter-city Express  which had arrived at the Central  Railway Station from Tiruvananthapuram.

Though the train had arrived on September 24, Thursday night, the body was noticed only on Friday morning minutes before the departure of the train, thus delaying the departure by over an hour. The train was otherwise scheduled to depart at 11.45 am.

The railway police  visited the spot and  have begun investigations.

The exact cause of the death of the person may be known only after a post-mortem. It is  believed that the man is around 55 years old and is a Keralite. The man was travelling to Karanganapalli from Tiruvananthapuram as per the ticket found in his pockets.

The police have shifted the body to Wenlock Hospital for a post-mortem.
