Umrah pilgrim tour turns tragic : Road mishap near Riyadh kills 4 of family from Uppala

Kasargod, Mar 4, 2014: A gory road accident at Mushail near Riyadh in Saudi Arabia has  claimed  the lives of four members of a family from from Kubanoor near Uppala who were returning after a holy Umrah pilgrimage to Mecca. It is learnt, the car in which the family was travelling  crashed against a road divider killing all the four on the spot while grievously injuring four others.


Road mishap near Riyadh kills 4 of family from UppalaIt is learnt after crashing against the divider the car rolled over and  was badly mangled. The deceased are  Arabi (63) from Kedakkar in Kubanoor, his wife Ayeshabi (52), son  Abdul Latif (32)  and Latif’s son, Lisaan (1).


Those injured are  Nisha (26), wife of Latif who hails from  Mudipu, her children, Lasaan and Lihaan, and  Nissar who is Nisha’s brother.


The  relatives back in Kasargod were informed only after one of the injured Nissar gained consciousness. The deceased  Abdul Latif, worked as a manager in a company in Riyadh and stayed  with his family there. His parents had left  for Riyadh just a month ago to undertake the Umrah pilgrimage only for fate to snatch away the lives of all of them.

Family sources said the bodies are likely to be brought to hometown for the last rites.
