Ullal incident should not be branded communal, says Poojari

Mangalore, Dec 27, 2013 : The case of kidnap and blackmail of two medical students at Derlakatte near Ullal recently should not be branded as communal, said senior Congress leader and former union minister B Janardhan Poojari.

 

Speaking to reporters at the District Congress office in the city on December 26, Thursday, Poojari said  such incidents should be condemned in the strongest possible words. He at the same time was highly appreciative of the police for swinging into action and arresting the accused within 24 hours.

Continuing, Poojari said the only solution to the rising crime against women  is for the society to respect women. Students should be taught this in schools, Poojari said.

 As usual, Poojari chose to launch a scathing attack on Gujarat CM and BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi  and questioned from where the BJP garnered funds for so flex banners   and programmes organised in  various places in support of Modi. He also made it clear that  the Congress cannot be harmed even if 100 Modis come.
