Ullal attack: Four Accused detained, Section 144 extended till May 6th

Mangaluru May 2, 2016: Mangaluru Police Succeeded in detaining three people in connection with the four assault offences at Ullal recently.

This was informed to Media Persons by City Police Commissioner M Chandrashekar on May 2, Monday. The Commissioner said the accused has been identified as Rahul Poojary (22) resident of Moghaveera who is fisherman by profession, Prajwal (21) resident of Yelliyarpadav who is rickshaw driver by profession and Vineeth (22) resident of Kapikaad who is a fabricator by profession was arrested by the CCB police led by Valentine D’Souza near Pacchanady.

 

Ullal attack


According to the police accused Rahul Poojary  is directly involved in four offences while the other two Prajwal and Vineeth are directly involved in the attack on Safwan Hassan at Kallapu. Rahul Poojary who was involved in five attempt to murder case in Ullal and Mangaluru North Police station limits, while Prajwal and Vineeth are also involved in attempt to murder case in Ullal and Mangaluru North Station limits.

He further said that Section 144 has extended in the city till 6 pm on May 6th inorder to restrict illegal assemblies and procession to avoid problematic incident.

DCP’s Shantharaju and Dr Sanjeev M Patil were present.

When the police act strict the situation will be under control very soon. If situation doesn’t come under control shoot at sight order has to be given
