Mangaluru, June 23,2017 : An abducted man from Trikkaripura in Kerala was freed after a three hour long joint operation by the Manjeshwar and Ullal police.
Ashraf who had arrived from abroad was being escorted to Padanna in Trikkaripura in Kerala in a Honda City car by Tahiz. However enroute, Tahiz was kidnapped and the abductors placed forth a demand for Rs 5 lakh ransom. The assailants had come by a bike and car. Though Tahiz had tried to escape by entering the Ajjinadka masjid the assailants had managed to grab him and push him into a car.
Meanwhile, Ashraf who somehow managed to escape, informed the Ullal Police who immediately intimated their counterparts in Manjeshwar. They traced the car through the GPS in it. The abductors who demanded Rs 5 lakhs asked that the amount be paid near Kadambar mosque near Manjeshwar Varkady. When Ashraf reached there with the help of police, the abductors had escaped and subsequently the car was trapped by Manjeshwar police near Kunjattur. Though Tahiz was rescued the abductors had fled.
Police have said all the abductors have been identified and they will be arrested soon.
