Udupi Aug 11, 2016 : K T Balakrishna, a 2006 batch IPS officer replace KAnnamalai, takes charge today August 11,  Thursday as Udupi’s new SP. Balakrishna served as SP of Gadag district before taking charge in Udupi. Additional  SP Vishnuvardhan was in charge of th post till date.

 

sp 11 aug 16SP said stern action would be taken against  moral policing and  who indulges in it .


He also said, he has  read media reports on the case about Bhasker Shetty’s murder would  hold discussions with the officials concerned trace the crook and give justice. His priority was peace, harmony and law and order.

 

Balakrishna was awarded with a medal in 2003.  He won another medal from the central government on the occasion of the 50th Independence Day.
