Udupi, Oct 24, 2015 : An elderly man who was serving as administrator of the Uggalbettu Garadi has reportedly ended his life by consuming poison in the Garadi premises on October 23, Friday.
The deceased is Mahabala Shetty (75), a resident of Uggalbettu.
Sources said Shetty had left behind a death note in which he had mentioned the names of four persons who are believed to be the reason behind his suicide. He has also reportedly mentioned the name of a prominent politician in the death note and it is believed that this politician had supported the four persons.
A dispute regarding the administration of the Garadi which was raging since two years is also learnt to have depressed Shetty against whom a neighbour had also lodged a police complaint over some reason.
Moreover, a person to whom Shetty had lent Rs 2 lakh had also reportedly not returned the loan.
Brahmavar police are investigating the case.

Why didn’t Mr .Shetty seek the help of the police regarding this case. The dispute is supposed to had taken place quite along time. The politicians who were involved behind the screen too should be punished. | |
