Udupi, Jan 24, 2017 :Three hi-tech highway patrolling vehicles sanctioned to Udupi District Police Department were flagged off here on January 23, Monday by District Superintendent of Police K T Balakrishna. The vehicle would be pressed into service only on National Highway 66 from Hejamady to Udyavara, Udyavara to Kumbashi and upto Shiroor.
Additional SP N Vishnuvardhana, DySP S J Kumaraswami and other police officials and personnel were present .
The three Innova vehicles have 180 degree rotating hi-end CC cameras, 180 degree torch light, GPS, GPRS, wireless facility, first aid kit, folding stretcher, power back-up inverter, three coloured top bar light among other amenities.
The services of the Highway Patrolling vehicles can be utilised by the public by calling Police Control Room (100).
