Udupi, July 20, 2015:  Addressing a preliminary preparatory meet to initiate plans for the forthcoming Paryaya celebrations, Pejawar Mutt Seer Sri Vishweshatheertha Swamiji, who is ascending the sacred ‘Paryaya Peetha’  during the forthcoming Paryaya celebrations for the fifth time, said he would be committed for the welfare and development of Sri Krishna Mutt offering basic infrastructural facilities and clean and hygienic ambiance to the devotees.  the seer said his two year tenure would witness the spreading of Dharma and also the welfare of the people.   He said he would introduce residential school and college up to 12th standard in Pajaka Kshetra in the palatial 40 acre of land, which would stand out as a role model for the education hub across the State.


giving further preview he stated students would receive free boarding and food. The pupil would be offered religious and cultural training besides common education. He said he has also plans to translate the religious texts into many  languages, as devotees who come belong to various culture and tradition.

Prioritising  hygienic conditions in the surrounding of the temple, the seer said cleanliness drive across the temple region would be taken up immediately.  He said the fifth Paryaya would be unique in the history of the mutt.  Hence with the help and support of the junior seer, he said he would take up development projects.

District-in-Charge Minister Vinay Kumar Sorake said Paryaya would be an occasion wherein the Udupi City would get a new look. Basic infrastructural facilities would be initiated and festival celebrated as ‘Nada Habba’.  He said State government has released Rs 15 crore for Mahamastakabhisheka in Karkala. The second phase of projects introduced under ADB scheme worth Rs 90 crore is taken up.  He said Udupi is one among other 26 cities in State included in the list of Amruth Scheme introduced by the Centre.

The Centre would release Rs 100 crore while another Rs 100 crore would be the matching grant by the State to develop each city. The basic infrastructural facilities and beautification of the city is given priority.   Minster for Fisheries and Youth service Abhaychandra Jain said the fifth Paryaya of Pejawar seer would be an event that would be written in golden words in the history of the temple and also the city. It is an special occasion for all across  the  country, he added.

Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari Dr Veerendra Hegde said he would lend all support by providing human resources for the celebrations. He said Pejwar seer is one who is instrumental in eradicating the caste and class disparity. He ushered in new era of equality and sustainable life by embracing the people irrespective of their religion, caste and creed. MLA Pramodh Madhwaraj said he would request the government to release Rs 10 crore for the celebrations.  MP Shobha Karandlaje said the affair would be an outstanding event and equally challenging one as the oldest seer would ascend the throne for the  fifth time.
