Udupi, Sep 16, 2015: A case wherein a minor Dalit girl hailing from Nejar near Santhekate was reportedly raped, has come to light quite late. There is no information about the identity of the accused.


minor girlrape in udupiThat the girl, a ninth standard student of  a local school,  was raped was known to her parents only on September 15, Tuesday when the girl who complained of severe stomach pain was rushed to the Government District Women and Children’s Hospital in Udupi, where doctors upon examining the girl said she was pregnant.

The girl hails from a poor family and her parents are labourers. Malpe police have registered a case and are investigating.
