Udupi, April 15, 2015  :  Addressing the inaugural of  the 124th birth anniversary of Dr B R Ambedkar at Aroor Lakshminarayan Hall in Udupi on April 14, Tuesday  Udipi disrict-incharge minister Vinay Kumar Sorake said  programmes on the aims and ideals of Ambedkar will be designed  with the assistance of various government departments in the district to spread through his 125th birth anniversary in 2016. 

Ambedkar’s contribution to the republic of India in the form of constitution is beyond all measure. The constitution is a path to unify and uplift all people of the nation without discrimination, irrespective of caste and creed. His birth celebration would be meaningful if everyone strives towards  achieving his thinking.

City Municipal Council President P Yuvaraj, who was the chief guest said it was essential to follow the path shown by Ambedkar, who drafted the constitution of India even in times when the Nation was bogged down by social evils and untouchability was a huge scourge.  2015-16 will mark the jubilee year with a chain of programmes.
