Udupi Aug 04, 2016 : Udupi Police arreset two persons in connection with the illegal cattle smuggling and rescued 21 cattles. The incident occurred near Ambalpady junction in Udupi district on August 03, Wednesday.
The accused are Abubakar Sadiqiue and Iqbal. Asif and Shabbir are the other accused who accused who escaped from the police. All the four acced are the residents of Mangaluru.
It is learnt that the accused were transporting the cattles from Mangaluru in a Mahindra Pickup van. They had robbed cattles from Kavadi on August 02, In order to sell them. On information Udupi police way laid the Van at Sanatekatte but they fled without stopping the vehicle. The police chased them and were successful in arresting the Abubakar and Idbal when they reached Ambalapdy junction.
The accused were produced in court and sent to judicial custody. Investiagation are going on and police are in search of the two who fled away.
