Udupi, May 24, 2018:  A team of officials led by Kundapur Assistant Commissioner Bhoobalan raided a place near Agasanakere in Mooduthonse of Kalianpur TP limits and seized  huge quantity of illegally stocked sand.

The seized sand is said to be equal to nearly 180 lorry loads. Investigations in this regard is presently underway.

Sources said the sand was stocked to facilitate construction  of multi-storied buildings in Kalianpur Santhekatte area and that  the sand was extracted for Swarna river.
